This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.\nHDR Engineering is looking for a Transmission Line Project Engineer in Omaha, Nebraska to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.\nThe primary duties of a Transmission Line Project Engineer include, in partnership with the Project Manager (PM), responsibility for technical execution of high voltage electrical transmission line projects of any size and complexity on schedule, within budget, and meeting HDR and client quality standards. A Project Engineer is responsible for technical execution of a project. Experience with overhead transmission line design and construction from 69kV thru 500kV preferred.\nIn the role of Transmission Line Engineer, we'll count on you to:\nLeads overall technical direction of projects.\n\nScope and schedule support to the PM, including work breakdown structure development and implementation, change management, and schedule management.\n\nBudget support to the PM for proposal development, progress assessment, and change management.\n\nAbility to lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations.\n\nMust thoroughly understand and implement the HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world class quality product to the client.\n\nSupports scheduling for and/or performs quality reviews for all deliverables. Ensures appropriate reviewer(s) are assigned.\n\nParticipates in quality control or project reviews for peers and other project teams.\n\nCoordinates with operations leaders and PM for resource planning and management.\n\nWorks independently as-required and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise one or more EIT’s, CADD/Designers, and administrative staff.\n\nIndependently coordinates the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout an entire project life cycle.\n\nMay be engaged in a mentoring/training relationship with one or more junior engineers or designers.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience using PLS-CADD, structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, load and designs, specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents required for power transmission line projects.\n\nNational Electrical Safety Code (NESC) knowledge.\n\nPreference will be given to local candidates.\n\nPrevious experience with an engineering consulting firm.\n\n*LI-BC1\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering \nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.\n\nPrevious experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector. \nComputer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
