We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.\nIn the role of Transportation Hydraulics EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:\nCollaborate with a team on the design of urban and rural roadways, highway and transit projects, stormwater management plans, and floodplain evaluations.\nWork under the direction of project engineers to apply various drainage design, engineering and modeling techniques in the development of transportation and water resource projects for local municipalities, state and federal clients\nPrepare design drawings with BIM/CADD platforms for construction/contract plans along with specifications and cost estimates\nPrepare hydraulic calculations and design deliverables, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, floodplain impact and compensation evaluations, stormwater modelling, bridge hydraulic and scour assessments, roadway drainage design, erosion and sediment control, water quality and attenuation systems, and permitting\nAssist with writing drainage reports and technical memos\nPerform water quality assessments and calculations\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental, water resources or other related fields\nMaster's degree in Water Resources or related discipline\nPrevious experience or internship experience performing drainage design for highway/roadway projects, preparing plans, and permitting\nExperience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/or OpenRoads Designer focused on storm water design\nAdaptable to conditions including fast-paced and deadline driven work environment\nAbility to work in the office to allow for collaboration\nEngineer in Training (EIT) certificate.\nCandidates hired without their EIT will have the title of \"Coordinator\" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.\n\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nSelf-motivated to complete tasks and learn new skills\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
