This is more than an entry-level engineering role-it's an opportunity to build a strong foundation for your career while helping communities and industries achieve meaningful environmental and operational results.\nIn the role of Wastewater Design Engineer in Training, we'll count on you to:\nCreate planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water-focused systems under instruction from a Project Engineer or person in charge\nPrepare deliverables for water or water resources-focused systems, write specifications, analysis, modeling, and study-level reports, determine appropriate design methods, possible equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with our Clients to deliver an outstanding experience\nPerform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables\nPerform other duties as needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering field\n3-5 years of experience with municipal or industrial wastewater treatment and treatment process design\nExperience working on food and beverage, manufacturing, life sciences, semiconductor, data center, or other industrial wastewater projects\nExperience working on large multidisciplinary wastewater projects\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field\nInterest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities\nAutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience\nMicrosoft Office experience\nMust be able to work in a team environment\nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must\nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
