As a Water Engineering Intern, you will support real projects that move from concept to construction. You will have access to ongoing training and support to apply these tools in practical, meaningful ways.\nAs a Water Engineering Intern, you will gain valuable experience supporting real projects and learn directly from technical experts and project managers who are leading water work across the industry.\nWhat You Will Do\nAs a Water Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and project managers in the planning and design of water, wastewater, and water resources systems. You will:\nPerform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional engineer or project manager on various engineering related projects.\n\nEvaluate and design water, wastewater, and water resources infrastructure.\n\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental staff.\n\nPrepare reports and technical documents.\n\nAssist senior staff in maintaining project schedules and budgets.\n\nBuild data analysis and visualization solutions.\n\nUse design and production tools including BIM platforms, modeling software, and other engineering applications.\n\nPerform other duties as needed.\n\nPreferred Qualificaions\nCompletion of two years towards a degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering disciplie with a 3.0+ GPA.\n\nCoursework in Hydrology and Hydraulics, Stormwater Management and Design, Water and Wastewater Treatment Processes, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems, or other topics focued on water/wastewater/water resources.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\ndemonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program \nAttention to detail\nPossess strong problem-solving and communication skills \nBasic Microsoft Office skills \nAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must \nWhat We Believe\nHDR is our company.
