This position involves physical building with team members and supervision.\nWe usually have 3 to 5 projectsin production at any given time. Our work is focused exclusively in the East Bay area, spanning from Oakland and Piedmont to El Cerrito. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing and leading their own projects while also overseeing others.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nInteract with the Design Team and assist with estimating\nAssist with pre-construction preparations\nCreate project schedules and production goals\nSupervise and help coordinate the work of the Lead Carpenters and Carpenters.\nSchedule, supervise, and coordinate subcontractors\nUnderstand the scope of work and budget for each project\nEnsure the job is on schedule and within budget\nEnsure that the finished project meets the company’s high standards for quality and workmanship\nInteract with clients and address any concerns they may have\nRecognize and execute change orders when necessary\nFollow and enforce company policies and procedures\nWork independently with minimum direct supervision and as part of a team\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum 10 years of residential remodeling carpenter experience\nMinimum 5 years of Lead Carpenter experience\nMinimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience\nSuperior knowledge of construction methods and techniques\nKnowledge of building/construction codes\nMust be able to read and execute plans\nBe organized and detail-oriented\nExcellent problem-solving and time-management skills\nAble to interact and communicate well with your crew, subcontractors, and the client\nSkilled in using technology, including smartphones, Excel, Word, and other applications.\nLive in the East Bay area\nPossess strong written and verbal English skills\nBe punctual, loyal, and safe.
