Works with a team of engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports. Completes engineering projects and electro-mechanical system designs to support the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of new systems and products, or modifications and revisions to current systems and products.\n Essential Duties:\nControl system design\nPower system design, including VFDs\nDevelop electrical schematics\nDevelop wiring diagrams\nWire harness development, including wire lists\n2D CAD design experience required (AutoCAD software experience preferred)\nWork with mechanical engineers and designers to build 3D electrical enclosure layouts (Solid Works experience would be considered a plus)\nComplete designs with and direct technical activities of assigned designers and technicians\nUse of Product Data Management (PDM) software for revision control (Solid Works EPDM experience would be considered a plus)\nCreate/edit BOMs using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SAP experience preferred)\nFamiliarity with analog and digital electrical circuits and components\nFamiliarity with electrical component selection and panel wiring\nFamiliarity with communication buses such as RS232/RS422/RS485, CAN bus, LVSB, and Ethernet preferred\nFollow standard project management practices\nProactively identifies and mitigates risk\nReceives and follows direction\nWorks professionally with teammates and colleagues\nAdheres to all quality and safety standards\nMay participate in cross-functional teams and work groups\nSupports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization\nSupports other projects and performs duties as assigned\n Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:\nBS degree in Engineering required. MS degree in Engineering or passed FE exam preferred\n3-5 years related experience\nExperience w/AutoCAD for electrical systems design\nProfessional use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/Product Data Management (PDM) software; Solid Works EPDM preferred\nERP/MRP software proficiency; SAP preferred\nExperience developing control systems including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and enclosure layouts.
