We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team.\nAs a Senior Accountant with HeadQuarters, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring in a timely manner Accounts Payable Management. Payroll Processing, Expense & Accrual Accounting, Month-End Close and Reconciliations.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong background in accounting.\nThe working hours for this position are 9 am - 5 pm PST.\nResponsibilities:\nAccounts Payable Management: Review and monitor purchase requests, invoices, and workflow approvals to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.Ensure compliance with company policies and vendor agreements, resolving discrepancies as needed.\nCoordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information and resolve issues related to AP.\n\nPayroll Processing: Record and reconcile payroll transactions for employees and contractors, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee data for payroll purposes.\nManage payroll tax calculations and filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.\n\nExpense & Accrual Accounting:Manage payroll-related accruals, including Paid Time Off (PTO), bonuses, and contractor expenses.\nMonitor and track expenses across multiple platforms to ensure proper accounting treatment.\nReconcile accrual accounts and adjust entries as needed.\n\nMonth-End Close, Reconciliations & Flux Analysis:Understand general ledger (GL) coding and perform monthly reconciliations for accounts related to AP, payroll, and accruals.\nConduct flux analysis to identify and explain significant variations in financial performance.\nEnsure all month-end close deadlines are met and deliver accurate financial reports.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Procurement, and Operations) to resolve outstanding financial matters and ensure accurate reporting.\nProvide timely financial information to internal stakeholders to support decision-making and business operations.\n\nProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process enhancements in accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.\nImplement best practices and automation to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline financial operations.\n\nRequirements\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\nCPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.\n5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, payroll processing, and month-end close.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.\nExperience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and payroll platforms.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).\nEnglish Level B2+/C1.\nDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with multi-entity or international payroll processing.\nKnowledge of process automation tools and software.\nExperience in flux analysis and financial forecasting.\nBenefits\nFully remote position\nInternal Learning and Development Advisor / Consultant to support your growth\nSalary increase opportunities based on performance\nOpportunities for professional growth;
