Official plan documents govern all benefits.\nAbout the role\nThe Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance processes that ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements across all stages of production. This role leads audits, supports the Quality Management System, partners with cross functional teams to identify quality issues, drives corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Details\nWork Days and Hours: Full Time.\nLocation: Addison, TX, onsite.\nWork Eligibility: US Citizenship or US Green Card required. Individuals on OPT or visa sponsorship are not eligible.\nWhat you'll do\nMaintain and enhance the Quality Management System in alignment with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.\nLead internal AS9100 process and product audits to ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.\nServe as the primary point of contact for external auditors and regulatory agencies, including the FAA.\nSupport accreditation and certification activities as required by the business.\nIssue FAA Form 8130-3 and ensure all parts and documentation meet airworthiness, traceability, and regulatory standards prior to certification.\nOversee calibration and maintenance programs for precision measurement equipment and manufacturing tools.\nDevelop, review, and approve quality plans, inspection criteria, and process control documentation for hardware and assemblies.\nLead root cause investigations for nonconformances using structured methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D.\nManage the Corrective and Preventive Action process to help prevent recurrence of defects.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.\nEvaluate supplier performance and conduct audits to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.\nConduct Material Review Board activities to determine disposition of nonconforming materials, including rework, scrap, or use as is decisions.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Industrial, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nMinimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace.\nStrong knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret complex drawings and data.\nExperience with quality systems and tools such as 8D, FMEA, Minitab, or Net Inspect.\nFamiliarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.\nClear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with engineering, production, quality, and regulatory auditors.\nDigital literacy, including experience with ERP or MRP software, Microsoft Office, and digital QMS platforms for data entry and recordkeeping.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nISO 9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\nWorking knowledge of FAA Part 21 or Part 145 regulations.\nExperience in avionics or aerospace electronics manufacturing.\nExperience working with regulatory compliance requirements such as REACH, RoHS directives, and restricted substances reporting.\nFamiliarity with FAA repair station Part 145 requirements.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.\nKnowledge of AS9102 and experience performing First Article Inspections.\nExperience working in a combined office and production or manufacturing floor environment.\nAbility to travel occasionally to supplier or customer
