Senior Product Designer, Provider Acquisition

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but most providers don't accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway’s mission is to fix this by building a new mental healthcare system everyone can access. We started by solving the biggest barrier to care: insurance. The admin work - credentialing, claims, payment reconciliation - is a nightmare. We've automated that.

About The Role:

Every patient booking on Headway depends on the right providers being on the platform. The Provider Growth team owns that top-of-funnel: getting qualified providers to discover, evaluate, and choose Headway, then guiding them from lead to activated. This is the first embedded design role on the Acquisition pod.

This role sits at the highest-leverage part of the provider funnel and spans two surfaces: the external provider-facing experience and the internal tooling that powers it. You'll partner with Creative on a provider rebrand and landing page, own the lead form that turns interest into a signed-up provider, and design the internal agentic PGA (sales) tooling.

The through-line is conversion: you'll own lifting SQL → Intake-Complete conversion, diagnosing drop-off and running experiments across the funnel.

Our design team works AI-first. Designers use Claude Code and Cursor to prototype and stay involved through launch and iteration, directly in code. We want designers who already work this way and treat AI as a primary part of their practice.

What You'll Own:

• Provider rebrand & landing page. Partner with Creative to design a premium, high-converting provider landing experience and evolve the provider-facing brand.

• Lead form & acquisition entry. Own the lead/application entry point, with a focus on low-friction, high-trust, and built to convert.

• PGA enablement & agentic tooling. Design real-time signals and agentic experiences that help every Provider Growth Associate coach providers through the funnel, turning the best PGA playbook into product.

• Funnel conversion. Diagnose SQL→IC drop-off, form hypotheses, and run experiments that move the number.

• Research & craft. Talk to providers and PGAs with the research team's support; raise the craft bar and contribute patterns to the Helix design system.

You'll Be A Great Fit If You:

• Have 5+ years of product design experience, with real time spent on conversion, growth, or acquisition work.

• Bring exceptional visual and interaction design craft. You produce polished, high-quality work for public-facing surfaces and care deeply about the details.

• Think in funnels. You know how to diagnose drop-off and get excited when a design change moves a metric.

• Have designed agentic or AI-powered workflows such as real-time decision support or intelligent automation.

• Partner fluently across functions, especially with Creative/brand, PM, and Eng.

• Prototype and test ideas quickly with Claude Code, Cursor, or your AI tool of choice. AI generates the pixels and prototype. You define the patterns, behaviors, and quality bar.

• Want your work to make a meaningful difference in people's lives - this role directly shapes how many providers join Headway, and how many patients get access to affordable mental healthcare.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $225,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
