With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an increase in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds who would benefit from expert care is growing. The company is focused on extending its differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients as possible through its outpatient clinic partnerships.The Director, Data Engineering is responsible for the architecture, engineering, reliability, and continued modernization of Healogics’ enterprise data platforms. This leader will ensure the organization’s current data warehouse and reporting environment remains stable, well understood, and effectively supported while advancing the company’s transition to a modern data and analytics platform built on Databricks.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep experience in data engineering, data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise analytics platforms. The Director must be capable of evaluating existing data pipelines, SQL Server databases, data warehouse structures, OLAP cubes, and SSRS reporting processes, while also designing and implementing scalable solutions using Databricks and modern data engineering practices.\nThe Director will lead the Data Engineering team and work closely with executives, business leaders, analytics teams, application teams, vendors, and other technology functions. This leader will translate business needs into practical data solutions, establish priorities based on business value, and communicate technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and recommendations in clear business terms.\nAll Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, hospital policies, applicable accrediting organization standards, federal and state regulations, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services guidelines.\nEssential Functions/Responsibilities:\nLead the Data Engineering team, including technical direction, coaching, prioritization, performance management, and accountability for delivery.\nOwn the architecture, reliability, performance, and ongoing support of Healogics’ enterprise data warehouse and data platforms.\nMaintain a strong understanding of the current data environment, including SQL Server, ETL processes, OLAP cubes, SSRS reporting, integrations, and critical business dependencies.\nIn collaboration with an implementation partner, lead the design and implementation of the Databricks platform, transition it into production, and assume ongoing ownership of its architecture, operations, performance, security, governance, reliability, and continued evolution.\nServe as a hands-on technical leader who can evaluate architecture, review data pipelines and models, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide implementation decisions.\nDesign and oversee enterprise data models that provide consistent, reliable, and reusable data for reporting, analytics, artificial intelligence, and operational decision-making.\nEstablish and enforce standards for data engineering, architecture, documentation, testing, deployment, monitoring, data quality, security, and production support.\nPartner with executives and business leaders to understand business needs, translate them into practical data solutions, and prioritize work based on business value, risk, dependencies, and team capacity.\nCollaborate with analytics, artificial intelligence, application, integration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, integrated, and well-governed data solutions.\nManage vendors and implementation partners, ensuring architecture alignment, delivery accountability, documentation, budget management and sustainable internal support.\nPerform other duties as required.\nRequired Education, Experience and Credentials:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.\n10+ years of data engineering, data architecture, or business intelligence experience, including 5+ years in leadership.\nSignificant hands-on experience architecting and implementing enterprise data solutions on Databricks.\nExperience supporting and modernizing SQL Server data warehouses, ETL processes, OLAP cubes, and SSRS.\nExperience designing enterprise, dimensional, and analytical data models.\nHealthcare or regulated data experience preferred.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nDatabricks experience, including architecture, data engineering, platform design, performance, security, governance, and operations.\nStrong SQL Server and legacy data warehouse knowledge, including the ability to maintain current operations while leading modernization.\nStrong data architecture, data modeling, integration, data quality, and governance capabilities.\nHands-on technical leadership across data pipelines, models, platform performance, and complex issue resolution.\nAbility to lead and develop technical teams and manage vendors and implementation partners.\nCustomer-focused partner who can translate business needs into scalable data solutions.\nStrong executive communication and ability to prioritize work based on business value, risk, dependencies, and capacity.\n#LI-RS1\nThe base salary for this position generally ranges between $163,000-$190,000 annually\nThis range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography as well as operational needs and other considerations
