Utilizing the lifts obtain, transport and deposit products/ materials within the warehouse, including multi-level racking locations. Build pallets physically and systematically to fulfill customer orders with special attention to customer-specific handling requirements. Load and unload reefer and dry trailers. All physical movement of products/ materials, including building of pallets must be done utilizing the WMS or ERP systems so that inventory is maintained, and transactions are recorded. Products are perishable, must follow proper date rotation and maintain awareness of product condition and inventory status.\nJOB DUTIES:\nConduct pre-inspection of equipment prior to use to ensure it is safe to operate; do not operate unsafe equipment.\nMaintain work area in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)\nContribute positively to the team by ensuring all aspects of the job are handled appropriately and professionally. Help others when needed and maintain a positive, can-do attitude.\nUse radio frequency (RF) scan gun equipment to facilitate completion of directed and undirected work through the Warehouse Management System (WMS).\nResponsible for physically rotating materials to ensure use is based on first in/expiration, first out (FIFO/FEFO) \nReceive, put away, move, consolidate, and obtain inventory using powered equipment and WMS. \nPick/assemble pallets for customer shipments ensuring product is stacked appropriately, and that any customer handling requests are followed.\nLoad and unload reefer and dry trailers. \nPerform location cycle counts and audits\nComplete and maintain quality, inventory, and other job-related documentation \nAdhere to and support company regulations and policies\nAssist with cleaning up and disposal of trash and recycling into dumpsters and roll-offs. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nAbility to perform basic mathematical skills (such as adding and subtracting)\nAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English or Spanish\nAbility to interpret safety, operating and maintenance documentation.\nAbility to write/ fill out routine reports and simple correspondence.\nAbility to work effectively as a team and follow instructions.\nAbility to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards\nAbility to maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or graduation from an accredited trade school, and a minimum of 2 years of full-time forklift operating experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPrevious experience using a warehouse management or inventory system, which includes RF scan guns. \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nForklift Certification\nPrevious exposure to a warehouse setting, preferably the food or beverage industry, with knowledge of GMPs\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:\nConsistent exposure to cold temperatures (34° F degrees) and ambient temperatures\nMust be able to reach and/or extend arms in a repetitive manner for a long period of time.\nMust be able to lift up to 35-40 pounds in a occasional manner\nMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time\nOccasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic, and/or caustic chemicals.\nOccasional material exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).\nHOURS & WORKDAYS:\n2nd Shift - Flexible (start 12:00pm-5:30pm - end 8:30pm-3:30am); Weekends, overtime, holiday, and rotating day/shift schedules will be mandatory based on business and department needs.\nWHAT WE OFFER plus more!\nOur rich benefits packages are designed to support the health and well-being of both our eligible team members and families.\nMedical, Dental & Vision\nGroup Life and AD&D\nVoluntary Life and AD&D\nGroup Short & Long-Term Disability\nFlexible Spending Accounts\nEmployee Assistance Program\noGym Membership Discounts\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culturally diverse organization.
