To learn more, please visit www.generousbrands.com.\nWHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE\nThis job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by driving tractors and yard hostlers to move trailers -53’ ft., flatbeds, bulk double citrus trailers and other material containers within the shipping yard, and between plant and off-site facilities based on shipping schedules, order volume and other business requirements. Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nMoves trailers as needed within the yard to facilitate loading and unloading. Shuttles trailers to and from off-site facilities based on business requirements.\nDelivers orders to customer accounts within specified region while meeting on time delivery metrics.\nMaintains delivery expense receipts and completes timely and accurate expense reports.\nPerforms routine safety pre/post trip inspection of yard hostler, tractors, and trailers, including safety checks, reefer temperature checks and fueling, adhering to applicable regulations and procedures.\nReports all maintenance and safety issues, concerns, and conditions to shift lead or supervisor.\nComplete and maintain accurate driver logs per D.O.T rules and regulations.\nCoordinates with shipping, receiving and production supervisors and leads regarding workload requirements and needs.\nCoordinates equipment maintenance and rotation with supervisor and vendor. \nWorks with manager to identify future equipment needs and specifications. \nUnderstands and follows established safety guidelines, programs, and procedures; and actively works to prevent safety incidents. \nMaintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications, legality, and quality procedures. \nPerforms other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Evolution Fresh mission & values. \nMaintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. \nADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. \nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing \nAttention to detail. \nAbility to follow verbal and written directions. \nSafety and quality focus while performing work duties.\nAbility to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards. \nAbility to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies, and procedures. \nAvailable to work variable hours to support business needs. \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh School diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with 5 years of experience operating commercial over-the-road tractor-trailer combinations, including backing, coupling/uncoupling, and performing routine inspections.\nCurrent Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) \nKnowledge of D.O.T. rules and regulations.\nMaintain driver medical evaluation with DMV.\nSafe driving record, in accordance with established Evolution Fresh guidelines \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nFamiliarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (FDA Code of Federal Regulations) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). \nExperience with the GFSI certification schemes (i.e. BRC and/or or SQF)\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:\nAbility to travel 60%+ of time\nMust be able to sit for an extended period of time during work\nOccasional (up to 25% of time) able to lift up to 50 lbs\nHOURS & WORKDAYS:\nVarying morning shifts + overtime will be mandatory based on business and department needs.Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1am to 9:30am and Tuesday/Thursday 4:40am to 1:00pm\n\nWHAT WE OFFER plus more!\nOur rich benefits packages are designed to support the health and well-being of both our eligible team members and families.\nMedical, Dental & Vision\nGroup Life and AD&D \nVoluntary Life and AD&D \nGroup Short & Long-Term Disability \n401(k) \nPaid Time Off\nFlexible Spending Accounts \nEmployee Assistance Program Gym Membership Discounts\n\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a culturally diverse organization.
