As part of our Property & Infrastructure team, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, reliable and compliant environment that supports exceptional patient care.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a facilities or engineering professional with strong technical knowledge and leadership experience to contribute to one of Australia's most respected healthcare organisations.\nAbout the Role\nReporting to the State Engineering Supervisor, you will provide operational leadership for maintenance activities, contractor management, asset reliability and engineering compliance across the campus. You will oversee critical services including HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), electrical infrastructure, medical gases, fire services and essential services.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities across the Fitzroy Campus\nSupervise engineering trades, maintenance staff and external contractors\nEnsure preventative maintenance programs are completed effectively\nMonitor and optimise BMS, HVAC, mechanical, electrical and fire systems\nRespond to engineering incidents and service interruptions\nConduct routine inspections of plant and infrastructure assets\nManage contractor inductions, safety compliance and performance\nSupport delivery of minor capital works and infrastructure projects\nMaintain statutory compliance records and documentation\nParticipate in emergency management and engineering response activities\nIdentify opportunities to improve asset reliability and energy efficiency\nPrepare operational and compliance reports for management \nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nDemonstrated experience supervising maintenance and engineering services in healthcare, facilities management or other critical infrastructure environments\nExperience managing contractors and service providers\nStrong knowledge of preventative maintenance and asset management principles\nExperience working with Building Management Systems (BMS)\nSound technical understanding of HVAC, mechanical, electrical and essential services infrastructure\nStrong understanding of WHS and compliance requirements\nExcellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills \nDesirable\nHealthcare facilities maintenance experience\nKnowledge of Australian healthcare accreditation standards\nExperience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)\nTrade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Building Services or a related discipline \nWhy Join St Vincent's?\nAt St Vincent's Health Australia, our mission is to provide exceptional and compassionate care while creating a better and fairer health system for all Australians.
