Reporting to the Director of User and Experience Design, you will own the design process end to end — research, UX design, design systems, and UI — shaping how customers discover, engage with, and trust our digital products. In a single week you might move between user interviews, flows, component specs, and polished production screens. This is a hands-on IC role for someone who loves the craft and the pace. \n\nWe move fast. Priorities shift. Context switching is part of the job. We want a scrappy mindset, strong judgment, and the sense to know when to push for perfect and when to ship, learn, and iterate.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nEnd-to-end design execution: Own the design process from research and discovery through wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI. \n\nCustomer experience design: Design and optimize experiences for ecommerce customers and internal users across CMS, MarTech, and operational platforms. Build intuitive, consistent, scalable interfaces that support seamless workflows and a cohesive brand. \n\nUX research and testing: Plan and run user research, including interviews and usability testing. Turn customer pain points and behaviors into insights and design decisions. \n\nDesign systems and components: Contribute components, patterns, and tokens that scale cleanly between design and development. \n\nUser acceptance testing (UAT): Partner with stakeholders to validate designs through structured UAT, keeping work aligned with customer needs and business goals. \n\nCollaboration and communication: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners. Communicate design decisions clearly and advocate for the customer without slowing the team down. \n\nBrand consistency: Maintain brand integrity across digital platforms while pushing thoughtful improvements to the visual identity. \n\nAgile support: Plug into Agile/Scrum workflows, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship iterative improvements sprint over sprint. \n\nWhat you'll need:\n\nExperience and Skills \n\nMinimum 3+ years in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio and case studies that show end-to-end work. \n\nEcommerce experience is a must. \n\nSound judgment on when to aim for perfect versus good enough to ship and learn. \n\nSolid grasp of UX principles, journey mapping, conversion optimization, and responsive design. \n\nStrong command of Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, and tokens. \n\nExperience building or contributing to a design system in production. \n\nHands-on experience designing within CMS platforms (Contentful, Builder.io, WordPress, Fastr, or similar) and MarTech systems. \n\nKnowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices. \n\nFamiliarity with A/B testing tools and data-informed design decisions. \n\nExperience with project management tools like Jira or Monday. \n\nSoft Skills \n\nScrappy mindset. Thrives in a high-demand environment with shifting priorities and frequent context switching. \n\nStrong problem-solving with a consistent focus on the customer. \n\nClear communicator who can present to technical and non-technical audiences and defend decisions without getting defensive. \n\nWorks independently and collaborates well inside a tight cross-functional team. \n\nManages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with frequent pivots. \n\nBonus Skills \n\nDigital health or telehealth experience. \n\nHands-on experience with CSS, Sass, and CSS variables. \n\nFamiliarity with design tokenization for clean design-to-development handoff. \n\nExperience with Storybook or similar component documentation tooling. \n\nNote for Current Employees:\n\nPlease use the internal job board in Greenhouse to apply. Individuals new to the company should generally expect offers to fall between the entry point and midpoint of the salary range.
