And, we're delivering results that are changing lives.\nFull Stack Engineer\nAbout the role\nBuild the product clinicians rely on every morning.\nHealthLeap’s dashboard helps dietitians at Cedars-Sinai and Penn Medicine see which patients need attention, understand the relevant clinical data, and act quickly. You’ll build the interfaces clinicians use and the backend services behind them.\nWhat you’ll do\nOwn product work from conversations with clinicians through production.\n\nMake complex patient data clear enough for clinicians to find what they need in seconds.\n\nBuild new products as we expand into more conditions.\n\nBuild hospital analytics with visualizations people can trust and act on.\n\nShip to hospitals including Cedars-Sinai, Penn Medicine, and Houston Methodist.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\n5+ years building production web applications, with strong frontend and backend engineering beyond basic CRUD.\n\nStrong React, API design, SQL, and relational schema design.\n\nAn eye for clear interfaces and the judgment to check what the underlying numbers mean.\n\nIndependent delivery: you talk to users, make scope decisions, verify your work, and own the outcome.\n\nSomething you’ve built that we can discuss. A public portfolio is welcome; a walkthrough of private work works too.\n\nWhat will make you stand out\nYou’ve founded a startup or built products from idea to real users.\n\nYou make complex data intuitive through design, visualization, and clear copy.\n\nYou’ve worked in healthcare or clinical software.\n\nThis role is NOT for you if\nYou wait for a spec before you start. We figure out what matters with users.\n\nYou’ve only built CRUD apps or marketing sites.\n\nClose-enough numbers are fine with you.\n\nYou need predictable 9-to-5 hours. We protect deep work and rest, but a hospital go-live can mean a 60+ hour week.\n\nInterview process\nNo LeetCode or algorithm puzzles. Use the tools you’d use on the job, including AI.\nIntro call\n\nSystem design\n\nTake-home exercise\n\nOnsite with the team in San Francisco\n\nWe decide the same week as the onsite.\nCompensation and benefits\n$175,000-$275,000 base plus meaningful equity\n\n100% covered healthcare premiums\n\nUnlimited PTO, with a recommended minimum of 20 days\n\n4% 401(k) match\n\nLaptop and home office budget\n\nLocation\nSan Francisco, in person. The default is every day, with a rule of thumb of about 32 hours a week in the office. When you need to work from home, post “wfh today” in Slack. No tracking or approvals.
