Technology\nKnowledge of routines and procedures required to produce quality radiographs for basic procedures\nKnowledge of safety techniques, including radiation safety, required during radiologic/medical imaging procedures\nAbility to communicate effectively with a wide variety of patients of all ages, cultures and physical conditions\nAbility to work in stressful situations\nLicensure/Registration/ Certification: N/A\nMAJOR JOB DUTIES AND TASKS:\nPercentage\nOf Time:\n 1.Assists in limited computed tomography procedures at a consistently high quality level.65% Assists CT Radiologic Technologists, in performing examinations by assisting in positioning of patient and by providing appropriate equipment or accessory’s needed\n Assists CT Radiologic Technologist in obtaining and reviewing appropriate paperwork, including pertinent information, clinical indications and special instructions, prior to each procedure.\n Assists in safe transfer of patient on/off CT imaging examination tables\n Provides patient care by providing comfort measures, monitoring patient condition and reporting any change to appropriate personnel.\n Addresses patients professionally and courteously, verifies patient identification, explains examination and responds appropriately to all questions.\nEvaluates images for proper identification, legal and anatomical labeling, proper positioning, and technical exposure to assure diagnostic quality and review all radiographic images with a registered radiologic technologist prior to ending examination.\nPrioritizes and assists with exams on a timely basis, especially in emergency and stressful situations\n 2.Interns will not be allowed to perform the following radiographic examinations unassisted by a registered CT radiologic technologist\nAny procedure utilizing contrast median\nAny procedure utilizing fluoroscopy\nAny CT procedure or examination\n15%\n3.Establishes and maintains effective, collaborative working relationships with other health care team members and across the organization\nConsistently listens effectively and is able to express ideas, information and concepts clearly (verbal, written and non-verbal) using appropriate vocabulary and grammar\nCommunicates to co-workers on work in progress and adjusts workload as fluctuations occur\nActively develops a spirit of teamwork\nConsistently establishes rapport with all levels of management and employees\nConsistently works well with people of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, ages and physical conditions\nEffectively communicates to lead technologists or manager of any problems, concerns or questions\nDeals with conflict or confrontation in a professional manner\nOffers assistance when appropriate to co-workers in subsection and in other areas of department or hospital\nWhen requested, is willing to adjust personal schedule to accommodate work needs\nCannot be scheduled as an employee at the hospital while simultaneously being scheduled for clinical (student) assignments.\n10% 4.Maintains a safe and clean environment 5% Ensures each room and its equipment is clean and stored appropriately after each patient use\n Maintains radiographic rooms and support areas (processing areas and \ndarkrooms); ensures adequate supplies and equipment in a clean and\nready condition\n Maintains proper levels of supplies and notifies Team Leader or \ndesignee of need to reorder\n Consistently follows infection control, radiation safety and general\nsafety policies\n Consistently demonstrates appropriate radiation safety practices\nduring procedures, including patient shielding\n Utilizes and handles equipment in a proper and safe manner\n Completes annual required training programs, including: Right to Know,\nBlood Borne Pathogens, Infection Control and Radiation Safety\n 5.Maintains a current level of knowledge in Radiologic Technology and in clinical practice 5%\nCompletes annual required Training Programs including Right to know, Blood Borne pathogens, infection control and Radiation Safety\nCompletes Regions Hospital required training on a timely basis\nRegularly Updates self with new information, policies and procedures\n Additional Expectations:\nComplies with safety instructions, observe safe work practices, provides input on safety issues and promotes a safe work environment. \nMaintains regular and timely attendance \nProtects confidentiality\nDemonstrates participation in and support of the organization's Corporate Integrity Program by participating in
