Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Finance Manager will lead initiatives to optimize the Company's financial close, consolidation and reporting processes across a growing global, multi-entity organization. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving a best-in-class finance function, including accelerating the month-end close, enhancing the global consolidation process, and improving the structure and quality of financial reporting to better support business decision-making.\nThe successful candidate will partner closely with Finance, IT and business leaders to optimize our ERP environment, leverage automation and AI-enabled solutions, and implement scalable reporting processes that improve efficiency, accuracy and insight. In addition to overseeing key aspects of financial reporting, the Finance Manager will develop management dashboards and performance reporting using Microsoft Power BI and serve as a trusted business partner to multiple operating divisions.\nThis role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, driving change and improving processes. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical accounting foundation, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to modernize finance operations. They will be highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, acquisitive, multi-stakeholder environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nFinancial Reporting and Analysis\nPrepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS. \nConduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and provide insight to support decision-making by senior management. \nAssist in the development of financial reports and dashboards for monitoring key SaaS performance indicators (KPIs). \nAccounting and Treasury Operations:\nSupervise and review the work of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. \nProvide guidance on revenue recognition policies to the accounting team and explain these policies to business unit leaders \nEnsure adherence to accounting principles, policies, and procedures and standardization of policies across multiple business units. \nOversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. \nSupport the cash flow planning and management process to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and growth \nManage relationships with financial institutions \nFinancial Controls and Compliance:\nAssist in the establishment and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial data. \nEnsure compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements. \nAssist with external audits, including providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries. \nBudgeting and Forecasting:\nCollaborate with the finance team to support the quarterly / annual budgeting process. \nAssist in the development of financial forecasts and projections. \nMonitor budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed. \nProcess Improvement:\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the financial month end close process \nOptimize the use of the accounting system (Netsuite) by standardizing the Chart of Accounts and automating key financial reports. \nCross-Functional Collaboration:\nCollaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies, as needed.\nTraining and Development:\nMentor and develop finance team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. \nStay current with accounting and financial industry trends and regulations and share insights with the team. \nM&A:\nSupport the integration process for new acquisitions and assist in developing an integration playbook. \nProfessional Qualifications\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. \nDetail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting. \nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal. \nAbility to work collaboratively in a team and lead by example. \nHe/She brings a University degree preferably in finance or business with an accounting designation (CA, CPA) and/or an MBA with a strong working knowledge of IFRS GAAP. Public company experience and/or experience taking a company public is highly desirable. \n7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles. \nStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. \nFlexible, adaptable, and agile style and can adjust to multiple demands and a changing, fast paced, high-pressure environment. \nTakes responsibility for assigned tasks and shows initiative to suggest improvements to systems, processes, and procedures. \nHighly organized, the ideal candidate manages his/her time well and brings projects in on time and on budget.
