This role plays a critical part in delivering successful projects through collaboration, communication, and proactive leadership while contributing to HEAPY Solutions’ colleague-first culture.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\nMaintains a clear understanding of HEAPY’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values and demonstrates alignment in all responsibilities and interactions\nLeads assigned construction projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations\nDevelops and maintains project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication strategies to support successful execution\nCollaborates with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to ensure project goals and owner expectations are achieved\nCoordinates project meetings, site visits, inspections, and progress reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle\nSupports contractor and subcontractor oversight to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications\nMonitors project costs, forecasts, expenditures, and progress billing information to support financial performance\nIdentifies and helps resolve project risks, conflicts, delays, or quality concerns while advocating for the client’s best interests\nAssists in reviewing project documentation including electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, submittals, permits, and construction schedules\nProvides oversight and coordination for electrical systems and infrastructure installations while ensuring alignment with project requirements and design intent\nEnsures compliance with building codes, safety requirements, and company standards across all active projects\nBuilds and maintains strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and reliable project execution\nCollaborates with senior leadership, operations managers, and project teams to support successful project delivery and colleague engagement\nParticipates in ongoing professional development and actively seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge and leadership skills\nThis role includes regular travel to active project sites throughout the Indianapolis and Central Indiana region.\nRepresents HEAPY Solutions culture in all interactions and contributes positively to team success\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nQUALIFICATIONS\n Normally requires a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with 7-10 years of experience managing electrical infrastructure, electrical construction, or complex MEP construction projects.\nOSHA Safety Training/Certification required.\nStrong understanding of electrical construction processes, power distribution systems, project sequencing, and construction coordination.\nExperience managing electrical infrastructure projects such as power distribution, medium-voltage systems, emergency power systems, utility coordination, or similar electrical scopes.\nExperience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.\nStrong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\nExperience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\n PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT\nAbility to remain sedentary at a desk for periods of time while operating a computer.\nAbility to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and video conferencing.\nReliable transportation to and from project sites required.\nAbility to work in indoor and outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.).\nAbility to access all areas of a job site, including ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.\nAbility to move or transport items weighing up to 25 lbs.\nMust follow safety guidelines and apply established site protocols.\nAbility to gather, organize, and evaluate information related to project performance, costs, schedules, and construction activities.\nNOTE\n This job description is not designed to state or imply that the listed responsibilities are the only duties to be performed by the colleague in this position.
