This position combines the energy of live television reporting and creating multimedia for our digital and social platforms. The successful candidate loves to tell stories and collaborate with our news team about how to connect with audiences in meaningful ways on TV, web, streaming and social media. You will report to the News Operations Manager. This is an IBEW Union position.\nResponsibilities\nPresent live reports, including breaking news, for weekend morning newscasts.\nCapture, edit, and publish timely, engaging content for all platforms.\nPitch and execute unique story ideas for original digital-only coverage.\nExperiment with creative formats for short-form video, long-form storytelling, live streaming and interactive content.\nMaintain brand consistency while embracing platform-specific tone and style.\nProduce platform-optimized videos, graphics, and written content that go beyond what airs on TV.\nSupport audience growth by creating shareable, compelling content designed for social media.\nExhibit unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards\nRequirements\n2 or more years of professional experience in digital content production, journalism or broadcasting\nStrong storytelling, writing, and script-editing skills\n\nCan carry up to 30 pounds of equipment\nMust have experience with video editing tools\nHave a valid driver's license and a clear driving record\nWork varied shifts, including mornings, weekends and holidays\nDeep understanding of current digital trends, social media algorithms and audience engagement techniques\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\nAbility to thrive under deadline pressure and juggle multiple priorities\nRelated military experience will be considered\nBilingual experience is a plus\nSalary\nThe estimated base salary range for this role is between $58,000 and $70,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law.
