You will monitor multiple air channels, preparing content, building playlists, maintaining regulatory compliance, assuring quality control of on-air product, and documenting transmission events. You will ingest commercials and programs, timing them and making sure they all play on air properly.\nResponsibilities\nCoordinate live and recorded programming for broadcast\nMaintain on air operation to include running commercials, network and local programming\nMonitor multiple channels to ensure regulatory compliance and signal integrity\nOperate broadcast automation equipment\nFollow FCC monitoring and EAS procedures\nObserve transmitters and take readings\nMaintain program and transmitter logs\nEdit and append playlists\nAcquire content from distributors and content delivery systems\nReport equipment issues and transmission discrepancies\nIn person attendance is required\nRequirements\n1+ years of computer, email, software and web applications\nPrior exposure to television station operations and newscast production\nWork in a collaborative environment and independently\nExperience with master control activities and tasks preferred; training will be offered for qualified candidates\nKnowledge of graphics systems for on-air branding and messaging\nHigher education in technology, SBE or related military experience will be considered\nMust be willing to work all shifts and weekends\nValues in Action\nAt Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
