You will report to the Assistant Chief Engineer.\nJob Responsibilities\nNews-gathering equipment including ENG cameras, field gear, ENG, DSNG, and CNG vehicles, editing systems, and support devices\nIT systems and associated hardware and software. This includes infrastructure and end user support\nProduction equipment including robotic camera systems, automated production systems, play out servers, graphics devices, lighting systems, weather systems, audio/intercom, and other gear used in production\nTransmitter sites, microwave central receive sites, satellite antenna systems, signal distribution and routing systems, processing systems, monitoring devices, and on-air automation systems\nQualifications Requirements:\nExcellent troubleshooting skills, able to plan and execute equipment installation, research/design, and detailed documentation of work\nKnowledge of desktop and server operating systems \nNetworking support of various LAN/WAN devices and systems\nIn depth knowledge of video production/television systems\nMust be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members\nMust possess a positive attitude and driven by successful problem solving\nFlexible to various work shifts and days off as assigned\nCapable of following instructions, verbal and written\nAble to sit or stand for long periods of time\nAble to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work on rooftops and in confined spaces\nValid driver’s license; position requires travel to remote transmitter and microwave sites \nEquivalent related work experience in a Television/Video/IT environment will be considered\nSBE/SMPTE/IT Certification is a plus.\nEquivalent military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) will be considered \nValues in Action\nAt Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
