We are looking for a creative photojournalist who can capture the essence of what's happening in our community and bring it vividly into the homes of our viewers. You will spend several hours each day in the field shooting, editing, and executing engaging live shots. You will also edit for newscasts. You will work well with others, always positively representing us with the highest journalistic standards and professionalism on display. You will work with and report to the News Operations Manager. This is an IBEW Union position.\nResponsibilities\nShooting and editing of VOs, VOSOTs, teases and packages for all linear, digital and social platforms\nWork with the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories\nShoot on assigned professional camera equipment \nEdit in Adobe Premiere and use ENG, SNG, and wireless data to feed completed work to the station\nCollaborate with producers, reporters and managers to produce high-quality stories\nCoordinate incoming video elements from crews in the field\nWork with catalog systems to save/store, record and locate necessary video\nProduce and publish content to our online platforms\nOrganization and attention to gear/equipment maintenance\nAny other editing responsibilities as assigned by news managers\nRequirements\n2+ years of professional video journalism experience\nCarry up to 50 pounds of equipment\nCan work in all weather conditions\nHave a valid driver's license and a clean driving record\nMust use digital editing tools\nMust be willing to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays\nExhibit unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards\nCan deal with the pressure of time-sensitive newscast production\nBilingual experience is a plus\nRelated military experience will be considered\nSalary\nThe estimated base salary range for this role is between $48,000 and $60,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law.
