You thrive in project environments, enjoy solving challenging problems, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.\nYou'll bring proven experience in:\nDelivering data engineering solutions in production environments, including project delivery, controlled releases and stakeholder engagement.\nStrong hands-on engineering using Snowflake and SQL, including performance optimisation and cost-conscious design.\nDeveloping and supporting dbt in production, including models, testing, documentation, lineage and deployment practices.\nBuilding and operating ingestion and orchestration solutions, ideally using Azure Data Factory.\nApplying dimensional modelling and/or Data Vault 2.0 concepts to meet business requirements.\nDelivering governed semantic layer solutions, ideally with AtScale or similar technologies.\nWorking within regulated industries where data accuracy, governance and traceability are critical.\nYour strengths include:\nAdvanced SQL and data transformation skills.\nDesigning solutions that are maintainable, performant and operationally supportable.\nNavigating ambiguity and translating business needs into practical technical solutions.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capability.\nCommunicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nFollowing disciplined engineering practices including Git/GitHub, code reviews, testing and documentation.\nManaging competing priorities while maintaining delivery quality and transparency\nA bit about us and what we do\nHeartland is an NZX/ASX-listed financial services group with big growth plans.
