Do you take pride in operating machinery safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards?\nWe are looking for a dedicated Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at Master Quarry, Wareham. This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading building materials companies, where safety, teamwork, and career development are at the heart of everything we do.\nThe Role\nAs a Mobile Plant Operator, your primary responsibility will be operating a Front End Loading Shovel (FEL), supporting the day-to-day production process by handling materials safely and efficiently.\nWorking as part of an experienced quarry team, you'll contribute to the smooth operation of the site while maintaining the highest standards of safety, housekeeping, and equipment care.\nWhat You'll Be Doin g\nOperating a Front End Loading Shovel to de-stock sand from the wash plant and load HGVs.\nOperating other mobile plant machinery where appropriately trained and certified.\nCarrying out routine inspections and maintenance on mobile plant equipment.\nSupporting operational activities across the processing plant as required.\nFollowing all company Health & Safety procedures and Quarry Regulations.\nMaintaining high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices.\nWorking collaboratively with site management and operational teams to achieve production targets.\nWhat We're Looking For\nTo be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:\nExperience operating mobile plant machinery in a quarry, construction, recycling, or similar heavy industrial environment.\nGCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.\nEPIC certification for mobile plant operations.\nNVQ Level 2 in Mobile Plant Operations (or willingness to work towards if required).\nA strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nA proactive approach with a willingness to support wider site operations when needed.\nWhy Join Heidelberg Materials?\nAt Heidelberg Materials, we're building more than infrastructure, we're building careers.
