Make a Difference.\nAt Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Production Supervisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of one of our quarry sites.\nWorking closely with the Site Manager, you'll help oversee day-to-day production activities, lead by example on health and safety, maintain high-quality standards, and support the development of site personnel.\nIf you're passionate about operational excellence, thrive in a hands-on environment, and enjoy leading people to achieve great results, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Be Doin g\nHealth, Safety & Environmental Leadership\nChampion a strong health and safety culture across the site.\nEnsure operations comply with all relevant legislation, company policies, and the Heidelberg Materials Health, Safety & Environment Management System.\nLead by example in the use of safe working practices, PPE, and site standards.\nHold the appointment under Section 8 (1) (d) of the Quarries Regulations 1999.\nConduct and review daily site inspections and safety audits.\nSupport the management and monitoring of contractors to ensure safe working practices are followed.\nEnsure weekly geotechnical inspections are completed and recorded.\nProduction & Operational Performance\nSupport the Site Manager in delivering safe and efficient quarry operations.\nAssist with maintenance planning and ensure servicing and repairs are completed to schedule.\nHelp manage plant performance, production activities, and operational resources.\nMaintain accurate maintenance and operational records.\nContribute to period-end reporting, stock returns, production data, and breakdown analysis.\nQuality & Customer Service\nEnsure all products supplied meet required specifications and quality standards.\nPromote a customer-focused approach across the operation.\nWork closely with customers, commercial teams, and logistics colleagues to deliver reliable service.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with visitors, customers, and stakeholders.\nTeam Leadership\nSupport and develop site employees through coaching, training, and mentoring.\nEnsure all new starters receive appropriate induction and role-specific training.\nBuild positive working relationships across the team and address challenges proactively.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nSite Standards & Continuous Improvement\nHelp manage the procurement of materials, services, and site requirements.\nSupport cost control and operational efficiency initiatives.\nMaintain excellent housekeeping standards across the site.\nEnsure roads, buildings, equipment, and surrounding areas remain safe, compliant, and presentable.\nBuild positive relationships with local communities and support the resolution of any site concerns.\nWhat We're Looking Fo r\nWe're interested in candidates who can demonstrate:\nSupervisory or leadership experience within a quarry, aggregates, mining, manufacturing, heavy industry, construction materials, or processing environment.\nStrong commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.\nExcellent communication and people management skills.\nAbility to organise workloads, prioritise activities, and make sound operational decisions.\nExperience managing maintenance activities and operational performance.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nIT literacy and confidence in maintaining operational records and reports.\nKnowledge of quarry operations and relevant regulations is desirable.\nWhy Join Heidelberg Materials?\nAt Heidelberg Materials, we're committed to building a workplace where everyone can thrive.
