We enable new opportunities for our customers through digitalisation.\nQuarry Operative\nLocation: Quarry Site\nHours: 40 per week\nBuild a Solid Career in Quarry Operations\nWe are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Quarry Operative to join our site team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in operating plant safely, maintaining high standards, and contributing to the smooth running of a busy quarry environment.\nThe Role\nAs a Quarry Operative, you will:\nOperate mobile and static plant in a safe, efficient, and competent manner, in line with your certifications and Site Management instructions\nCarry out general housekeeping tasks across the quarry as required\nSupport operations on the main processing plant, completing duties within your competence as directed by Site Management\nKey Accountabilities\nMaintain all assigned mobile and static plant to a high standard, including refuelling, greasing, cleaning, and basic checks in accordance with manufacturer and MQP requirements\nOperate plant as economically and efficiently as possible\nComplete daily inspection and defect reporting documentation for mobile plant\nReport faults, defects, or operational issues promptly to the Load & Haul management team\nSubmit near-miss reports and actively promote a strong health and safety culture\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEssential:\nGCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)\nGood general education with the ability to understand and apply health, safety, and Quarry Regulations\nRelevant competency cards for loading shovel, ADT.\nDesirable:\nPrevious experience in a similar quarry or heavy plant environment\nWhat’s on Offer\nOvertime available\nA stable role within an essential industry\nOpportunity to work as part of an experienced and professional site team\nAt Heidelberg Materials, we don’t just offer jobs we build careers.
