Working closely with IT in a \"one team, two hats\" partnership, you will focus on the business outcomes, governance, and decision-making frameworks while supporting the development of trusted and certified data products.\nYou will be responsible for creating a single source of truth for business performance, enabling leaders to make informed decisions with confidence.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead Governance & Prioritisation\nDevelop, maintain, and manage a lightweight governance framework including councils, data owners, stewards, KPIs, and decision-making processes.\n\nEnsure data initiatives are aligned with corporate strategy and business priorities.\n\nPartner with IT\nCollaborate closely with IT to define standards for data workspaces, pipelines, certification processes, and governance.\n\nAct as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable value.\n\nChampion Data-Driven Decision Making\nDrive business ownership of key metrics and performance indicators.\n\nEstablish and maintain a trusted \"single source of truth\" across the organization.\n\nEnsure business intelligence initiatives are linked to strategic objectives and measurable outcomes.\n\nDefine KPI Standards & Data Governance\nDevelop and maintain KPI dictionaries, business glossaries, and ownership models.\n\nStandardize definitions, formulas, and accountability for critical data assets.\n\nCertify datasets used for executive reporting and strategic decision making.\n\nReduce duplication and \"shadow reporting\" through governance and adoption.\n\nDrive Adoption & Data Literacy\nPromote data literacy throughout the organization through training, office hours, champion networks, and communications.\n\nBuild confidence in reporting tools, analytics solutions, and governance practices.\n\nSupport cultural change toward evidence-based decision making.\n\nExecutive Storytelling & Business Performance\nTranslate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.\n\nCreate concise executive performance packs and reporting materials.\n\nFacilitate decision-making forums, performance reviews, and leadership briefings.\n\nQualifications, Skills & Attributes\nAbout You\nYou are a strategic thinker with a passion for turning data into business value.
