Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\nYou will drive the design and development of cutting-edge semiconductors for high-performance pulsed power systems used in Helion’s fusion generators. You will work in a fast-paced environment to develop, test, and implement high-reliability, high-efficiency switching components, with a strong emphasis on rapid development cycles. You will report directly to our Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering, and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office.\nYou Will:\nSpearhead efforts to gather and utilize requirements for switching components and apply them toward design of physical products\n\nDrive the design and development of novel pulsed power electronics components and systems, focusing on high-efficiency, high-reliability semiconductor solutions\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of electrical, mechanical, and physics-based principles in semiconductor development\n\nLead development cycles, including hands-on prototyping, small-scale testing, and large-scale performance validation\n\nConduct simulations, testing, and analysis to validate designs and iterate quickly using data-backed decision making\n\nStay informed on emerging semiconductor materials, device architectures, and industry trends\n\nDocument design processes, specifications, test results, and findings for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing\n\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field\n\n8+ years of experience in power electronics and high voltage semiconductor design\n\nStrong foundation in semiconductor physics, power electronics, and circuit design principles\n\nProven experience with rapid prototyping and development cycles in a high-tech environment\n\nBackground working with semiconductor fabricators to manufacture semiconductor devices\n\nProficiency with simulation tools and test equipment for power electronics\n\n#LI-Onsite #LI-KL1\nBenefits\nOur total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families\n\n31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days)\n\n10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break\n\nUp to 5% employer 401(k) match\n\nShort term disability, long term disability, and life insurance\n\nPaid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks)\n\nAnnual wellness stipend\n\nHelion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
