It's a deliberate choice for performance and cost, and it means the machines, the network, and the tooling that ties them together are ours to get right. This role joins our Platform team to make that fleet faster to provision, safer to access, cheaper to run, and boring to deploy to.\nYou'll work across the foundation everything else at Helius depends on: automating how servers get spun up and configured, standardizing how software gets built and shipped to machines, and executing on our engineering security roadmap. This is an intermediate role with a lot of room to grow. We care more about ownership, intensity, and learning speed than about a perfect match on today's stack.\nNo crypto background is needed. If you've run serious infrastructure anywhere, we'll teach you the blockchain parts.\nWhat You'll Do\nAutomate the server lifecycle end to end: provisioning, OS installs, configuration, hardware validation, and decommissioning\n\nBuild and maintain the tooling engineers use to interact with the fleet, so nobody hand-configures a machine twice\n\nStandardize how we build and deploy software to machines: CI pipelines, artifacts, deploy tooling, and rollbacks\n\nExecute security roadmap items alongside our security lead: SSO-integrated access, jump hosts, secrets management, least-privilege access, and audit trails\n\nRun cost analysis across the fleet, including cost per workload, provider comparisons, and hardware refresh decisions, and turn it into recommendations\n\nImprove observability for the infrastructure you own, and take part in on-call and incident response\n\nWrite clear runbooks and docs so the rest of a remote team can operate what you build\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nExtreme ownership: you treat the systems you touch as yours, see problems through to the fix, and automate yourself out of repetitive work rather than living with it. You work the way our Manifesto describes (fast, direct, low-ego, and accountable), and that matters to us more than any single item below.\n\n3+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering\n\nHands-on bare metal experience, such as provisioning and managing physical servers (PXE, IPMI/BMC, RAID, NICs), working with colo or dedicated-server providers, and debugging hardware versus software issues\n\nDeep Linux fundamentals, including systemd, networking, storage, and performance tuning\n\nExperience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Nix)\n\nSolid scripting or programming ability in Python, Go, Bash, or similar\n\nA security mindset: you think about access, blast radius, and secrets by default, not as an afterthought\n\nNice to Have\nRust experience, or interest in reading and debugging Rust services\n\nHigh-performance networking or low-latency systems experience\n\nFamiliarity with ClickHouse,
