This role leads a small IT team of two direct reports and serves as the primary point of accountability for network infrastructure, hardware and software lifecycle management, data security, and technology vendor relationships. The IT Manager partners closely with leadership across departments to ensure technology capacity keeps pace with business growth, while maintaining a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach appropriate to an organization of this size. \nDuties and Responsibilities: \nDirectly supervise, mentor, and develop a team of two IT staff, including workload assignment, performance management, and professional development planning. \nEstablish IT department structure, service standards, and maintaining ticketing/help desk workflows appropriate to a growing organization, with an eye toward when additional headcount is warranted. \nDevelop / own the IT business continuity and disaster recovery strategy, including backup architecture, recovery testing cadence, and executive-level incident reporting. \nLead the company's response to compliance and security due diligence (e.g., SOC 2, customer security questionnaires, cyber insurance applications), coordinating with Legal, Finance, and Sales as needed. \nStrong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise security frameworks, with the judgment to know when to go deep personally versus delegate. \nTrack record of hiring, developing, and managing technical staff. \nDirect experience with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks and customer security due diligence processes. \nExperience with mixed deployment environment including Windows, MacOS, Linux and server based hypervisors. \nQualifications, Skills, and Attributes: \nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience \n5+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity \nDemonstrated experience managing network infrastructure, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and endpoint management tools \nStrong working knowledge of IT security fundamentals, including access controls, endpoint protection, and incident response \nExperience managing outside vendors, managed service providers, and software licensing agreements \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders \nRelevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation \nExperience supporting a company of similar size (50-150 employees) through a period of growth \nFamiliarity with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks and client security review processes \nExperience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for systems administration \nAbility to work on US DOD ITAR controlled projects preferred \nMust be proficient with Microsoft office products \nBenefits: \nAutomatic 5% employer contribution to 401k by Hellbender \nBase level health, dental and vision insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families \nTen holidays, plus company-wide week shutdowns at the Independence Day week and Christmas/New Year’s week. \nAccrue 15 hours of PTO per month \nHellbender Inc.
