This role coordinates engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program stakeholders to ensure technical programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to specification. The STPM serves as the central point of accountability for program timelines, risk management, and cross-team communication in a multi-shift technology manufacturing environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPlan, schedule, and drive execution of complex, cross-functional technical programs from requirements definition through design, prototyping, testing, and production release\nServe as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing/production, quality assurance, supply chain, and program stakeholders, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables\nDevelop and maintain integrated program schedules, risk registers, and dependency maps; proactively identify and resolve schedule conflicts and resource constraints\nFacilitate program reviews, design reviews, and milestone gate meetings; prepare and present status updates to engineering leadership and executive stakeholders\nCoordinate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to manage long-lead components, vendor deliverables, and program budgets, including tracking program-level costs against forecast\nPartner with Quality to ensure programs meet applicable engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements, including any customer- or contract-specific technical specifications\nIdentify, document, and mitigate program risks, including technical risks, resource constraints, and supplier or schedule dependencies; escalate issues appropriately\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) activities, coordinating transition of programs from engineering development into multi-shift production\nMaintain program documentation, including requirements traceability, change logs, and post-program lessons-learned reviews\nCoordinate with Compliance/Facility Security to ensure program activities, documentation, and access controls comply with applicable export control (ITAR) and government contracting requirements for programs involving controlled technical data\nOther duties as assigned \nQualifications, Skills, and Attributes\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Program/Project Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience\n10 - 15 years of experience managing technical or engineering programs, preferably in a hardware, electronics, or technology manufacturing environment\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and cross-functional teams without direct authority\nStrong working knowledge of program/project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Stage-Gate, waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize technical and schedule information for varied audiences\nU.S. Person\nCompensation\nCompetitive salary based on qualifications and experience\nBenefits\n401(k)\n5% Safe Harbor Contribution to 401k by Hellbender\n100% of Health, Dental, and Vision insurance premiums for employees and their families paid by Hellbender\n7.5 weeks total Paid time off\nHybrid work environment & flexible work schedule\nWork Location\nPittsburgh\nOpportunity for Advancement\nHellbender is a growing business and follows a policy that prioritizes internal promotions.
