You will be the main customer facing contact and directly responsible for the budget, performance, and schedule of assigned projects.\nThis role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electromechanical systems and experience leading technical teams through complex engineering projects. United States veteran and diverse candidates are encouraged to apply at any experience level.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nEstablish trust and build effective relationships with customers, executives, engineering and production teams, and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders\nManage and ensure successful, on-time, on-budget delivery of engineering solutions for multiple concurrent projects\nOrganize project teams by assigning responsibilities, developing schedules, and determining resource requirements\nIdentify risks to the contracted scope and develop mitigation plans\nInterface with all departments including design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and testing to ensure project alignment\nSupport business development and new work proposals, and generate additional scopes of work for current projects as required\nQualifications, Skills, and Attributes\nA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Materials Science, Robotics, or equivalent education\nExperience leading technology-based products through the various developmental phases including requirements definition, design, testing, field trials, and production\nExperience balancing resources across multiple projects, as well as tracking scope, schedule, and budget\nStrong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, software configuration tools, and project management systems\nExperience leading cross-functional teams of varying skills and experience\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nExperience working with software, firmware, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering teams as a developer preferred\n2-5+ years Product Management experience\nPrevious experience in a start-up environment, working on complex software and hardware projects with multiple stakeholders is highly preferred\nPrior experience transitioning projects into production is highly preferred\nBenefits\nAutomatic 5% employer contribution to 401k by Hellbender\nBase level health, dental and vision insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families\nTen holidays, plus company-wide week shutdowns at the Independence Day week and Christmas/New Year’s week\nAccrue 15 hours of PTO per month\nHellbender Inc. stock through our Equity Incentive Plan\nWork Location\nPittsburgh, PA with some travel between two local locations\nOpportunity for Advancement\nHellbender is a growing business and follows a policy that prioritizes internal promotions.
