Working closely with the software quality and regulatoryteams, you'll build solutions that are safe, effective, and ready for the people who depend on them every day.\nThis is a role with real technical range. You'll move across architecture, prototyping, manufacturing equipment,testing, and release, shaping how the team builds best in class embedded software while navigating the rigorthat medical device development demands. It's a chance to grow deep expertise in a field where your code has a direct, tangible impact on patients' lives.\nWhat You’ll Take On\nIn your role, you will:\nContribute to software design projects from concept to production, helping deliver on time and on budget.\n\nPrototype, test, and report throughout the product development lifecycle.\n\nDevelop requirements, specifications, and software testing plans and protocols.\n\nImplement coding solutions aligned to design specifications, using best in class technologies.\n\nParticipate in peer code reviews to keep code quality high across the team.\n\nPerform verification and validation activities, and complete release and quality system documentation.\n\nCommunicate clearly and efficiently with management, peers, and vendors.\n\nStay current with relevant scientific and technical developments, contributing to a best in class software environment.\n\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in software or computer engineering, or equivalent professional experience.\n\nA proven track record in embedded programming in C.\n\nExperience testing embedded software applications, such as unit and integration testing.\n\nA proven track record of delivering work in a timely fashion.\n\nStrong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clean, formal documentation.\n\nFluency in English.\n\nA high degree of curiosity and a proactive mindset toward learning new technologies and domain specific regulations.\n\nExperience with an RTOS and Zephyr RTOS in particular, is a plus.\n\nExperience across all stages of development, including software architecture and design, testing, and release is a plus.\n\nExperience with PCB design, Python and Arduino, or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a plus.\n\nLife at ViCentra\nWorking at ViCentra means joining a team defined by:\nCourage to create: We experiment, challenge norms, and learn fast.\n\nTrust above all: Integrity, honesty, and openness shape our relationships.\n\nCustomer-first mindset: Every idea is measured by the impact on those we serve.\n\nA drive for excellence: We hold ourselves to the highest standard because lives depend on it.\n\nOur days move fast, fueled by curiosity, diverse perspectives, and a love for collaboration.
