We over-communicate around everything...especially while we navigate our new hybrid world.\nSummary\nAugeo is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the end-to-end accounts payable process with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong control mindset. This individual contributor role is ideal for a seasoned AP professional who thrives on ownership, brings deep technical expertise to complex invoicing and payment scenarios, and can be a go-to resource for best practices within the accounting team. This is a hybrid position, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.\nWhat You'll Do\nManage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approval routing, and timely payment processing \nReview and resolve complex or escalated invoice discrepancies, vendor disputes, and payment issues \nProcess a high volume of domestic and/or international vendor payments via check, ACH, and wire \nMaintain and reconcile vendor accounts, including monthly statement reconciliations and aging analysis \nEnsure proper GL coding and cost allocation in accordance with company policy and accounting standards \nManage vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and 1099 reporting/compliance \nOwn month-end close responsibilities related to AP, including accruals, account reconciliations, and reporting \nServe as a subject matter expert and mentor for AP procedures and troubleshooting \nAct as the point person for complex AP questions and issues, providing guidance to internal teams and driving resolution on escalated matters \nSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries \nEnsure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory guidelines \nBuild and maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors, serving as a reliable point of contact to resolve issues and support long-term partnerships \nWhat You Bring\n10+ years of progressive accounts payable or general accounting experience \nDemonstrated expertise in full-cycle AP, including high-volume invoice processing and multi-method payment runs \nStrong understanding of GL coding, accruals, and month-end close processes \nExperience with vendor management, 1099 reporting, and W-9 compliance \nProficiency with accounting/ERP software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas) \nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a high transaction volume under deadline pressure \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies \nExcellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset when working with vendors and internal stakeholders \nA proactive, process-improvement orientation and comfort working with minimal supervision \nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered \nExperience navigating the complexities of multi-entity accounts payable, including intercompany transactions, entity-specific coding, and varying approval workflows \nAbility to prepare complex journal entries for invoices that cross multiple entities, ensuring accurate allocation and intercompany balancing \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred, but not required \nExperience in a mid-size or growing organization with evolving processes \nExposure to multi-currency environments \nHigh-volume payment processing and multi-entity accounting experience required \nWork Authorization\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment.
