Logistics Operational Excellence Intern (f/m/x)

The role: What's in the Box

You'll be joining our international Logistics Operational Excellence team, working across the Netherlands, Belgium, and France to support our Fleet Operations and keep our vehicles running efficiently and our operations scaling smoothly. 

Your focus will be on getting close to the operations - understanding what's happening on the ground across regions - and turning that insight into standardized processes, harmonized practices, and scalable improvements. Along the way, you'll dig into fleet performance data, spot bottlenecks, and help the team move closer to operational excellence. This is a hands-on role: you'll spend real time with the teams on the ground, understanding the operational reality behind the data - not just analyzing numbers from a distance. This is your chance to see how a fast-growing logistics operation runs day to day, while contributing directly to our strategy and goals.

This is a paid internship designed to offer hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international environment. As an intern, you will have structured guidance to support your learning and development. We aim to create an environment where you can build practical skills, gain exposure to how HelloFresh operates, and learn through doing. The internship is suitable for students whose educational requirements allow them to complete an internship during the proposed period. What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Investigate process bottlenecks alongside frontline and operational teams - analyzing fleet performance data and spending time understanding what is concretely happening on the ground, behind the numbers - to identify root causes and drive meaningful operational improvements
• Partner with colleagues across the Netherlands, Belgium, and France to understand how local differences shape fleet management, identify opportunities for harmonization and standardization across markets, and - where relevant - propose and implement optimization initiatives and manual-work reduction under manager guidance
• Document operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to capture cross-regional learnings, improve onboarding, knowledge sharing, and consistency across markets
• Support the roll-out of best practices from one region to another, helping translate what works locally into solutions that scale across markets
• Build and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools in Google Sheets, and support small automations that cut down manual work
• Contribute to ad-hoc reporting that feeds both operational and strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with Fleet Coordinators, OEM partners, and suppliers to understand challenges and shape practical solutions

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (open to other backgrounds if you bring the right skills)
• Comfortable working in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with SQL, Python, or Tableau is a plus but not required
• Genuine interest in data-driven analysis and process improvement approaches (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
• Comfortable engaging directly with operational teams and getting into the field - this role requires both analytical skills and the ability to understand what is really happening on the ground
• Clear communicator who can work well with stakeholders across different styles and backgrounds
• Proactive and independent, comfortable taking ownership of tasks
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus
