Location: Factor - Chinook
Shift: AM /PM until 2AM ) - open flexibility required.
About the Role
As a Jr. Quality Control Associate you will have a direct role in maintaining our product quality control and food safety processes. Reporting to the FSQA Supervisor you will play a key role in ensuring our facility is able to make high-quality, safe, delicious meals for our customers.
What you will be doing:
- Provide administrative support to the FSQA team
- Transfer data from a source to a document while maintaining high standards of legibility and accuracy.
- Perform product weight checks and inputting the data
- Ensure accuracy of documents
- Play a key role in maintaining product traceability
- Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
- Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
- All other duties, as assigned
At a minimum, you have:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert, and write legibly while multitasking in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment.
- Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Has experience with standing for prolonged periods of time including regular bending, twisting and walking
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, in addition to having strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a computer comfortable learning new technologies
- Willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
- Previous experience or exposure (approximately 6 months) to Quality Control/Assurance processes in a food manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset. This may include familiarity with QCA tasks such as product checks, data entry, and traceability.
