Assign criticality, prioritize maintenance jobs, and define and oversee work required \nEnsure maintenance and repair of distribution center racking, walkies, power trucks, dock doors and perform repairs in the facility for a clean and steady operation\nManage tasks/work-orders on computer systems such as CMMS/GSheets\nTrain new hires according to the training plan for machine operation; Train and oversee Maintenance Associates on complex tasks as required\nConduct machine calibration and run-to-failure maintenance activities\nPerform regular facility inspections to ensure fire extinguishers, exits, emergency lighting and other safety features meet and/or exceed regulatory requirements; perform repairs as required\nCoordinate with external contractors to define maintenance and reliability requirements, troubleshoot equipment, purchase and stock spares\nSupport upgrades, replacements, overhaul and installation projects\nMaintain Department inventory, including Spare parts, Tools, Hardware and keeping records documented\nUpdate maintenance logs and ensure quality standards are maintained\nWork in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations\nUse personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer\nOther duties as assigned\nAt a minimum, you have: \nPost-secondary Education in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent work experience\nMinimum of 2 years of Facilities Maintenance experience and at least one year experience in a food processing or service environment/manufacturing industry.\nHas experience standing for prolonged periods of time including regular bending, twisting and walking \nWilling and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs\nSkilled in using basic hand tools, power tools and measuring tools\nAbility to work calmly and effectively under pressure\nAbility to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment\nFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, varying shifts and holiday work, as required\nWilling and able to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)\nAbility to communicate in English, both verbal and written\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar,Gmail,Docs,Sheets) and video conferencing (Hangouts, Google Meet)\nWhat you’ll get in return:\nCompetitive salary and health benefits\nShift premiums are available for afternoon and overnight shifts\n75% discount on HelloFresh or Chefs Plate weekly box subscription\nHigh impact work to help feed thousands of families in Canada\nOpportunity to learn and grow\nWork with a hard-working and supportive team\nWorking Conditions:\nIt’s no surprise that as a food company, we use many ingredients that may be considered common allergens (i.e. peanuts, tree nuts, milk, etc.).
