The successful candidate will support the calculation of pEPR Local Authority (LA) payments and producer fees, ensuring that models remain robust, transparent, and fit for purpose.\nThe role will also lead the data strategy for the Fees and Payments Calculator teams, identify data requirements, develop processes for gathering and maintaining essential datasets, and collaborate with wider data strategy teams to ensure alignment and reduce duplication.\nWhat you will do:\nDevelop, maintain, quality assure, and operate numerical models used to calculate pEPR fees twice a year.\nEnsure numerical models remain robust, transparent, and fit for purpose.\nLead the data strategy for the Fees and Payments Calculator teams.\nIdentify data requirements and develop processes for gathering and maintaining essential datasets.\nCollaborate with wider data strategy teams to ensure alignment and reduce duplication.\nWork collaboratively across PackUK to ensure data and evidence support decision-making, policy development, and external communications.\nOversee access to and use of the Report Packaging Data (RPD) portal.\nCoordinate with digital teams and regulators to resolve technical issues affecting the RPD portal.\nFurther develop R-based tools for extracting and analysing producer data.\nApply advanced R proficiency to support data manipulation, statistical modelling, simulation, and reproducible analytical pipelines.\nImplement automated testing and documentation practices.\nMaintain version control using Git and GitHub.\nCommunicate complex analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.\nRepresent PackUK confidently in industry-facing settings.\nCollaborate with PackUK teams, digital partners, regulators, and external stakeholders.\nLead small teams or coordinate delivery across teams as required.\nBuild analytical capability and contribute to wider improvement initiatives.\n Demonstrate advanced proficiency in R, including data manipulation using tools such as dplyr and data.table.\nPossess experience in statistical modelling and simulation.\nDevelop and maintain reproducible analytical pipelines.\nApply automated testing and documentation practices to analytical and modelling solutions.\nDemonstrate practical experience using Git and GitHub for version control.\nBring experience developing, maintaining, quality assuring, and operating numerical models.\nUnderstand data strategy development, data requirements identification, and dataset maintenance processes.\nPossess experience extracting and analysing data using R-based tools.\nDemonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.\nCommunicate complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.\nExhibit strong leadership skills, whether managing a small team or coordinating delivery across teams.\nDemonstrate the ability to build analytical capability and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nBring experience working with digital partners and regulators to resolve technical issues, preferred.\nPossess experience supporting evidence-based decision-making, policy development, and external communications, preferred.\nBe eligible for BPSS clearance and meet the UK resources requirement.\nBe available to work under a PAYE via Umbrella company arrangement.\n All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nCandidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based, without requiring employer sponsorship.\nHelloKindred is committed to fair, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.
