The successful candidate will be a hands-on Power BI developer with significant production report-building experience, strong Power Query and DAX skills, excellent data visualisation and design sense, and a good understanding of Microsoft Fabric and how Power BI works with its components.\nWhat you will do:\nBuild high-quality Power BI reports from data preparation through polished visuals, with a focus on visual design and performance.\nUse Power Query (M) to shape and transform data.\nDevelop clean, maintainable DAX code that follows best practices.\nApply data visualisation best practices to produce reports that are clear, consistent, easy to use, and visually appealing.\nApply best practices in data modelling, DAX, and report design.\nUse Microsoft Fabric components effectively with Power BI as data sources and within models.\nDocument datasets, measures, reports, and delivered work with concise and usable documentation.\nSupport, coach, and upskill analysts and developers on Power BI best practices.\nBuild custom visuals where required to meet specific design needs.\nPromote effective Power BI development practices across teams.\n Demonstrate significant hands-on experience building Power BI reports in production environments, covering the full process from data preparation to polished visuals.\nBring strong Power Query (M) experience for shaping and transforming data.\nApply advanced DAX skills, producing clean, maintainable code that follows best practices.\nPossess strong data visualisation and design skills, with an ability to create clear, consistent, visually appealing, and user-friendly reports.\nUnderstand key Microsoft Fabric components and how they work with Power BI as data sources and within data models.\nMaintain concise, usable documentation covering datasets, measures, reports, and delivered solutions.\nShow the ability to support, coach, and upskill analysts and developers in effective Power BI use and best practices.\nExperience building custom visuals for specific design requirements would be advantageous.\nBe eligible for BPSS clearance.\nBe able to work PAYE through an umbrella company.\nBe able to commute to Manchester/Liverpool-area offices three days per week.\n Candidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based, without requiring employer sponsorship.\nHelloKindred is committed to fair, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.
