The role is suited to an experienced engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code, who can operate effectively in complex, enterprise-scale environments and build secure, resilient, and highly scalable platforms.\nThe Senior Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with engineering teams, architects, security specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative cloud-native solutions supporting critical business services. The role will contribute to platform strategy, drive automation initiatives, enhance operational excellence, and help shape the future of cloud and infrastructure services.\nResponsibilities\nContribute to cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering initiatives across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure capabilities.\nWork within one or more engineering pods to define technical requirements, conduct design reviews, and provide hands-on engineering support throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nDesign, build, configure, and operate AWS-based solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform, to improve consistency, reliability, and deployment efficiency.\nDevelop and enhance Kubernetes platform capabilities to support increasing demand while improving resilience, scalability, performance, operational efficiency, and developer experience.\nImplement and maintain cloud cost management practices, including resource tagging, allocation, rightsizing, capacity planning, usage monitoring, and cost optimisation strategies.\nSupport the evaluation and adoption of open-source technologies and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions, ensuring alignment with security, privacy, licensing, regulatory, and operational requirements.\nApply robust release management and production-readiness processes, including automation, deployment governance, monitoring, alerting, logging, rollback procedures, and incident preparedness.\nCollaborate with Cloud Services, Application DevOps, Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to achieve platform standards, remediation activities, and delivery objectives.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability, security, observability, and operational excellence.\n Extensive hands-on experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps within large-scale enterprise environments.\nProven ability to design, build, deploy, monitor, and support production platforms and cloud infrastructure.\nStrong practical knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes, including the delivery of highly available, secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.\nExpertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.\nExperience with modern DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, version control, and controlled production deployments.\nWorking knowledge of Docker, Helm, service mesh technologies, Python, cloud-native deployment tools, monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.\nExperience supporting cloud migrations and addressing governance, compliance, security, resilience, capacity management, and operational readiness challenges.\nSound understanding of cloud financial management, resource governance, and cost optimisation, with the ability to identify and implement measurable improvements.\nStrong knowledge of security best practices, architecture governance, compliance requirements, risk management, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nExperience working within Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery frameworks.\nExperience evaluating, integrating, or operating multi-vendor Large Language Model (LLM) workloads within AWS and Kubernetes environments is desirable.\nPrevious experience in a highly regulated industry, particularly financial services or banking, is desirable.\nFamiliarity with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence is advantageous.\nRelevant cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications are advantageous.\n Candidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based, without requiring employer sponsorship.\nHelloKindred is committed to fair, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.
