We embrace an open and transparent culture that welcomes healthy debates on the use of technology in defence, its benefits, and its ethical implications. \nThe role\nThe Production Engineer - Software Integration ensures software runs reliably in live environments, focusing on stability, efficiency, and scalability by building automation, monitoring tools (observability), managing incidents, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve developer experience and product quality, bridging DevOps and Software Engineering. Key duties include troubleshooting, performance tuning, deployment automation, incident response, and security, ensuring seamless operations from code to production.\nThe day-to-day\nSystem Reliability & Performance: Ensure applications run reliably, efficiently, and securely in live production environments.\n\nAutomation: Develop and maintain automated deployment (CI/CD), testing, and scaling processes.\n\nMonitoring & Observability: Build and manage monitoring systems to track application health, performance, and user experience.\n\nIncident Management: Respond to production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.\n\nCollaboration: Work with development, product, and operations teams to improve development processes and product delivery.\n\nCode & Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.\n\nSecurity & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance within production systems.\n\nYou should apply if you\nMaster's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution.\nStrong coding skills in relevant languages (C++, Rust, SQL, Nix OS, etc).\nExperience with cloud platforms, ERP and MES.\nProficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and monitoring tools.\nTroubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.\nUnderstanding of system architecture, networking, and database management in production environment.\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.\nNote: We operate in an industry where women, as well as other minority groups, are systematically under-represented.
