Google Cloud Platform.\nThe start date is ideally planned for January or February 2027.\nYour responsibilities ###You will be responsible for:\nDesigning and implementing scalable data architectures on GCP, primarily using BigQuery and Cloud Composer.\nDeveloping and maintaining reliable, recoverable ELT/ETL pipelines.\nBuilding analytics-ready data models with dbt, including staging, warehouse and mart layers.\nImplementing data documentation, testing and quality checks.\nSetting up and maintaining CI/CD processes with GitLab, including quality gates and promotion across environments.\nManaging cloud infrastructure with Terraform, including cloud resources, IAM permissions and relevant networking dependencies.\nDeveloping Python components for data ingestion, orchestration, data quality checks and automation.\nTaking ownership of production operations, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, cost management and performance optimisation.\nWorking closely with Analytics Engineers, AI Engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data products.\nTechnical environment ###GCP: BigQuery, IAM, Cloud Composer and Airflow\ndbt: dbt Core, packages, macros, tests, documentation and exposures\nGitLab: merge requests, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, runners and secrets management\nTerraform: modules, workspaces, environments and state management\nPython: data pipelines, APIs, automation and testing\nSQL: data modelling, performance tuning, partitioning, clustering and cost optimisation\nYour profile ###You have:\nProven experience delivering data engineering solutions on GCP, particularly with BigQuery and related services.\nStrong SQL skills, including data modelling, performance optimisation, partitioning and clustering.\nSolid experience with dbt, including project structure, macros, tests, documentation and deployment practices.\nExperience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow, Cloud Composer, Dagster or Prefect.\nExperience with GitLab CI/CD and Git-based collaboration, including code reviews, branching strategies and releases.\nPractical experience with Terraform, including writing or using modules and managing multiple environments.\nA good understanding of IAM principles, least-privilege access, group-based permissions and service accounts.\nGood command of Python, with an emphasis on clean code, basic packaging, testing and API integration.\nA strong production mindset, with a focus on observability, reliability, security and maintainability.\nNice to have ###The following would be an advantage:\nExperience with data observability tools such as Monte Carlo, or with custom monitoring solutions.\nFamiliarity with data integration tools such as Airbyte or
