As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!\nWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Electrician to join our Maintenance and Engineering team.\nEmployment Status: Full-Time Hours of Work: Available to work all rotating shifts, though initially shifts will be primarily days (subject to change)Location: Humber River Health, Church Site - flexible to travel between sites when needed.Labour Group: NOWU ServiceReporting Relationship: Manager, Maintenance and EngineeringHourly Rate: $37.924\nPosition Responsibilities:\nKeeps all operating electrical equipment in safe and proper working condition.\nMaintains the electrical inspection book.\nRecomends the ordering of electrical supplies.\nTests and repairs any electrical defect.\nInstalls and services new electric equipment.\nInstalls and repairs the nurse call system.\nRepairs outside lighting and parking lot equipment.\nInstalls new services in renovation or building changes.\nMaintain Fire Alarm System\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nSuccessfully completed Grade 12.\nExtensive Experience in all aspects of institutional electrical equipment maintenance.\nSuccessful completion of a recognized Ontario Electrician certificate.\nKnowledge of electrical sections or public building and safety codes.\nAbility to communicate with staff.\nLifts, carries, pushes, or pulls a variety of electrical materials weighing up to 50 lbs.\nClimb, balances, stoops, kneels and crouches to gain access to electrical wiring.\nExposed to electrical shocks and burns as well as falls from ladders or scaffolds.\nExcellent attendance and discipline free record required\nAn understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
