The role drives concurrent engineering, establishes manufacturing baselines and ensures production readiness to enable efficient, repeatable and high-precision manufacturing operations.\nQualification and experience:\nMinimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electronic or Industrial Engineering; an Advanced Diploma is preferred.\nExperience within a manufacturing and assembly environment, applying Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.\nExperience in design optimisation, manufacturing technologies and supplier development.\nExperience working with high-precision manufactured products and technologies.\nProven experience in production line design, commissioning and optimisation.\nKey technical skills:\nLEAN Manufacturing Principles\nDesign for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)\nProducibility Analysis\nAdvanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)\nEN 9145\nProcess Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)\nMeasurement System Analysis (MSA)\nProcess Flow Development\nControl Plan Development\nTooling, Jig and Fixture Design\nManufacturing and Assembly Process Design\nProduction Line and Workstation Design\nPrecision Assembly, Alignment and Testing Techniques\nEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems\nSAP Production Data Management\nKey responsibilities:\nProducibility Analysis and Manufacturing Development\nEvaluate product concepts and designs in collaboration with Product Development teams using DFMA and producibility methodologies to define effective assembly, test and manufacturing strategies, resulting in products that are producible, repeatable and maintainable throughout the product lifecycle.\nAssembly Line Requirements and Design\nDesign production workflows, workstation layouts, tooling, jigs, fixtures and assembly requirements in collaboration with operational stakeholders to establish efficient and controlled manufacturing capability, resulting in production solutions aligned with capacity, quality and operational requirements.\nManufacturing Baseline and Production Control\nEstablish and maintain manufacturing baselines, operational procedures and production master data across assembly and support activities to provide controlled and repeatable production processes, resulting in accurate, traceable and sustainable manufacturing operations.\nProduction Line Commissioning and Handover\nLead production and assembly line setup, readiness reviews, performance validation and operational handover across multidisciplinary teams to confirm manufacturing capability against defined baseline requirements, resulting in commissioned production lines ready for effective transfer to Operations.\nOur recruitment values:\nHENSOLDT South Africa focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organisational strategy.
