The role drives cross-functional collaboration, manages project risks and stakeholder expectations, and maintains effective governance throughout the project lifecycle to achieve successful project and customer outcomes.\nQualification and experience:\nMinimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification is preferred.\nMinimum 6 years' project management experience.\nFormal Project Management training required.\nExperience in the development, integration and evaluation of complex multidisciplinary systems.\nExperience within the aerospace or radar systems environment will be highly advantageous.\nProven track record of successful team leadership and stakeholder management.\nExperience defining, implementing and leading project risk management processes.\nKey technical skills:\nProject Management Methodologies, including PRINCE2, PMBOK and Agile\nProject Planning and Scheduling\nProject Governance\nCost and Budget Control\nProject Risk Management\nProcurement Management\nEngineering Data Pack and Technical Documentation Management\nProject Reporting and Performance Monitoring\nTechnical, Commercial and Operational Risk Management\nKey responsibilities:\nProject Planning and Governance\nLead the planning and governance of complex engineering projects by defining scope, schedules, budgets, resources and contractual milestones to establish effective project control, resulting in structured and compliant execution against approved project objectives.\nProject Delivery and Execution\nDrive project execution across multidisciplinary teams, procurement activities and technical reviews to control cost, schedule, quality and delivery performance, resulting in achievement of project milestones and customer commitments.\nRisk and Stakeholder Management\nManage project risks, issues and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle to maintain alignment, enable informed decision-making and address delivery constraints, resulting in controlled project exposure and effective stakeholder outcomes.\nTechnical and Quality Assurance\nCoordinate engineering, systems, quality assurance and supplier activities across project delivery to ensure technical solutions meet operational, maintainability and production requirements, resulting in compliant outputs aligned with engineering and quality standards.\nProject Closure and Continuous Improvement\nManage project handover and closure through technical and financial reviews, lessons learned and formal closure reporting to confirm completion and capture improvement opportunities, resulting in effective project close-out and strengthened future project performance.\nOur recruitment values:\nHENSOLDT South Africa focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organisational strategy.
