The role is responsible for verifying product functionality, quality, and compliance with technical and customer requirements through accurate testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities, ensuring reliable electronic products are delivered in accordance with specified standards\nQualifications and experience:\nMinimum T3, N6 or S4 in Electronic Engineering; a Diploma in Electronic Engineering will be preferred.\nMinimum 3 years' experience within an electronic manufacturing or production test environment.\nPractical experience in Radio Frequency (RF) measurements is a prerequisite.\nExperience in component-level fault finding and repair within a military electronic environment.\nExperience working with analogue and digital electronics and associated test equipment.\nExperience with computer-based testing and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) will be advantageous.\nIPC certification will be advantageous.\nKey technical skills:\nElectronic Testing, Diagnostics and Fault Finding\nRadio Frequency (RF) Measurement and Testing\nAnalogue and Digital Electronics\nComponent-Level Troubleshooting and Repair\nElectronic Circuit Diagram Interpretation\nTechnical, Wiring and Manufacturing Drawing Interpretation\nElectronic Test and Measurement Equipment\nAutomatic Test Equipment (ATE)\nAcceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and Test Result Records (TRR)\nSurface Mount Technology (SMT) Components\nElectronic Product Assembly\nElectrostatic Discharge (ESD) Controls\nLead-Free Soldering and Rework\nFailure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)\nComputer Literacy\nKey responsiabilities:\nTest Preparation and Execution\nPrepare and execute electronic product testing using approved test documentation, instrumentation, test equipment, software, firmware, and test setups to verify product functionality and conformance to specified requirements, resulting in accurate, reliable, and compliant test outcomes.\nDiagnostics and Fault Finding\nPerform systematic diagnostics and fault finding at component, subsystem, and system level using circuit diagrams, diagnostic procedures, and electronic test equipment to identify defects and determine root causes, resulting in accurate fault isolation and effective technical resolution.\nMaintenance, Repair and Rework\nPerform component-level repairs, soldering, rework, and product restoration in accordance with approved technical procedures and applicable IPC requirements to restore units to full functionality and specification, resulting in reliable and serviceable electronic products.\nQuality Assurance and Product Verification\nVerify product workmanship, alignment, and compliance through prescribed acceptance, burn-in, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), vibration, and other required testing processes to ensure products meet defined quality and technical standards, resulting in compliant products ready for Quality Control or Quality Assurance acceptance.\nTechnical Documentation, Compliance and Delivery\nMaintain accurate test records, job cards, fault and FRACAS reports while adhering to ESD, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), quality, and organisational requirements to ensure traceability, compliance, and effective production control, resulting in accurate reporting and achievement of required delivery targets.\nOur recruitment values:\nHENSOLDT South Africa focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organisational strategy.
