This position will perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing, packaging and supporting equipment. Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the execution of the line equipment changes over. The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to effectively communicate and work closely with many different departments within the organization.\nThis is an opportunity to be a hands-on technical expert in a fast-moving manufacturing environment where your skills truly matter. If you take pride in precision, reliability, and solving problems others shy away from, this role offers the chance to make a visible impact every shift.The person in this role will be working around ingredients such as peanuts, milk, soy, & gluten.\nHOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:\nStrong understanding of the importance of product safety and good house-keeping and the vital role that maintenance personnel play in product safety and customer satisfaction\nMust be capable of correctly troubleshooting and repairing all manufacturing and facilities support equipment\nDetermine the appropriate components and repair equipment to keep on hand which will result in limited production down time and unnecessary crisis management\nCoordinate, implement, and participate in scheduling preventive maintenance on all manufacturing and facilities support equipment\nMonitor and maintain all HVAC systems verifying they are running properly and efficiently to ensure proper climate control while keeping energy costs to a minimum\nMaintain and repair as needed all Dust Collection systems\nComplete and maintain all necessary documentation including applicable cGMP documents\nComplete PMs and WO documentation on CMMS\nIdentify occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties including lock out tag out procedures\nAbility to be flexible with work schedule and willing to work overtime as needed\nExecute production lines change overs\nRequest parts and material needed to complete their tasks\nWHAT MAKES THIS TEAM SPECIAL\nYou'll join a strong collaborative work environment where we're genuinely invested in developing your skillsets. Our team is dedicated to continuous improvement, professional growth, and supporting each other to achieve excellence.\nQualifications\nSKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:\nSkills:\nStrong experience with solid mechanical and electrical aptitude\nAbility to install, repair, and maintain all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and other related components of all manufacturing and packaging equipment in a safe and timely manner\nAbility to effectively read and understand mechanical & electrical drawings, including floor plans\nGood understanding of Programmable Logic Controller functions and strong ability with troubleshooting the controller and I/O devices associated with the controller\nFamiliarity with VFDs, Brushless DC and DC controller systems\nGood knowledge base for programming and troubleshooting various brands of temperature controllers\nStrong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team player with co-workers, suppliers and contractors\nAbility to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English\nAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.\nKnowledge of CMMS software preferably e-Maintenance\nExperience:\nA minimum of five (5) years hands on maintenance\nExperience in a fast paced manufacturing or packaging environment A minimum of one years' experience in a Food Supplement, Food Contact or Food manufacturing environment\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent Technical Institution certification or degree\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate's degree in Electrical/Electronic field, or two years certification in a related field\nExperience in metal and or machinery fabrication\nUS Benefits Statement\nHerbalife offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees in the U.S. (limited to the 50 States and the District of Columbia), which includes Group Health Programs, other Voluntary Benefit Programs, and Paid Time Off.
