You are the first step in an employee’s search for answers and should focus on the employee’s training, knowledge, and production goals. You would be the employee’s first interaction with Company leadership and must foster an environment of mutual respect and leadership.\nDifferentiate several types of material and inspect all component parts to ensure they meet our quality standards. \nSupporting team Leads in ensuring proper workflow through each department. \nAid and assist team Lead as needed. \nHelping achieve daily department production goals, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. \nMotivating and encouraging all team members to achieve hourly, daily, and weekly goals. \nHelping the team Lead develop and implement daily quotas and production goals. \nUnderstanding team member training levels and skills to efficiently move personnel cross-functionally based on department needs. \nKnowing and understanding the entire process of the department and being able to correct any potential setbacks that may arise. \nIdentifying problems before they make it to the team Lead and trying to minimize impacts to production. \nWhat You’ll Bring to the Table: Strong communication skills. \nReading, writing, and math skills commensurate with job duties. \nAbility to read, speak, and/or comprehend English. \nBusiness knowledge of department’s production goals and safety/quality standards. \nSkills to work cross-functionally throughout the business as needed. \nExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to lead, teach, and motivate others on standards policies and procedures to achieve a specific goal. \nPhysical Requirements include but not limited to:\nLifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting. \nStanding on a fatigue mat in a specific area throughout a 10 hour+ shift. \nBe able to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs. \nStanding for 8 hours a day or longer. \nNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above moderate. \nAbility to work in an environment with repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, and elbows. \nPhysical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions. \n\nHerff Jones, Inc. and its affiliates are equal opportunity employers and maintain affirmative action plans to recruit, retain, develop, and promote qualified individuals without unlawful consideration of race, gender, gender identity, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
