The Role:\nHermeus is seeking talented students to join our Manufacture Engineering team in Los Angelesto support improvement initiatives to expand in-house manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the design, build, and testing of flight and critical ground support hardware.\nSpring: Around 16 weeks (January - April)\nSummer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)\nFall: Around 16 weeks (September - December)\nResponsibilities:\nEvaluate designs for manufacturability and testing, providing feedback to design team \nDesign and implement tooling and test solutions where appropriate, to support component build and delivery \nDevelop new processes and procedures to support flight hardware builds \nManage projects and execute to tight timelines while effectively and proactively communicating with stakeholders \nProvide data-driven solutions to technical issues encountered during build \nActively interface with technician and engineering teams to resolve product non-conformances and keep build on schedule \nDevelop and refine floor layouts \nSupport capacity modeling and time studies to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement \nCollaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve large-scale and widespread production challenges \nRequirements:\nPractical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects.\nMust be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).\nStrong interest in vehicle hardware.\nStrong understanding of engineering first principles.\nDemonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.\nEnthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nGPA of 3.0 or
