# Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer at Hermeus you will be responsible for installing, configuring, analyzing, and maintaining local and wide area networks. As part of the Information Team you will ensure growth, security, and scalability of all Hermeus networks as well as support cross-org needs for network engineering. Responsibilities Configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, Access Points (wireless), and VPNs. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. Implement and maintain network security, including access controls, intrusion detection systems, and threat prevention. Manage and administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM). Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve complex technical issues. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and critical incident response.
